What is TB-500 Fragment?
TB-500 Fragment is derived from thymosin beta-4 and is investigated in tissue-repair protocols. Direct evidence in humans remains limited. Findings about full-length thymosin beta-4 do not automatically establish the effects of this fragment. It has no FDA approval and is excluded from preparation by 503A compounding pharmacies.
Research indications
Tissue Repair
Most effectiveRepair research examines faster wound closure and restoration of injured soft tissues.
Gut Health
EffectiveGastrointestinal research concerns improved intestinal lining integrity and digestive function.
Joint Support
EffectivePotential joint effects include reduced inflammation together with greater mobility.
Muscle Recovery
ModerateResearch explores faster recovery after muscle strains and stress associated with exercise.

How to reconstitute and inject
Diluent: Use only bacteriostatic water; avoid saline because precipitation can occur.
- Let your refrigerated TB-500 Fragment vial stand for 15–20 minutes so it reaches room temperature before mixing.
- Disinfect the rubber stopper using an alcohol swab. Wait for all of the alcohol to air-dry.
- Measure the calculated bacteriostatic water volume with a sterile syringe. Use BAC water only; saline can lead to precipitation.
- Deliver the water slowly against the vial’s inner wall. Keep the stream from striking the powder directly.
- Mix by gently rotating the vial in circles. Avoid vigorous shaking, which can break down the peptide.
- Wait 2–3 minutes until dissolution is complete. Inspect the liquid for a clear appearance without color.
- Measure your calculated dose in an insulin syringe for administration beneath the skin.
- Choose your abdomen, upper arm or thigh for subcutaneous administration. Change sites between injections to help prevent lipodystrophy.
- Keep the mixed vial at 2–8 °C in the refrigerator. Use the solution within 28 days of preparation.
What to expect
- Week 1–2
- Early changes may include less inflammation, pain and swelling around the affected tissue.
- Week 2–4
- Mobility of the tissue may improve as discomfort diminishes and healing begins to accelerate.
- Week 4–8
- More substantial recovery milestones may accompany stronger tissue repair and better function.
- Week 8–12
- Later expectations include healing approaching completion in many cases, with improved tissue integrity and strength; this is not a guaranteed outcome.
Side effects and safety
- Mild nausea at larger doses
- Discomfort or redness around the injection area
- Lightheadedness or dizziness · Rare
- Possible changes in blood pressure; monitor it if you have hypertension

Frequently asked questions
What does the fragment’s evidence cover?
The fragment is investigated for repair and recovery, but direct human data are limited. Research on the parent thymosin beta-4 molecule is not interchangeable with fragment-specific evidence. Proposed gastrointestinal, joint and muscle effects remain research questions rather than established benefits for people.
Which doses are discussed?
The starting research schedule uses 100 mcg once per day beneath the skin, while the standard schedule uses 250 mcg at the same frequency and route. Dosing varies with the research question. Neither amount establishes an effective or safe human regimen; seek advice from a licensed healthcare professional.
What safety issues are relevant?
Healing peptides are generally tolerated in animal research, but individual responses depend on dose and route. Mild nausea and local injection reactions can occur, while dizziness or lightheadedness is rare. Monitor blood pressure if you have hypertension. This fragment is not FDA-approved, and preparation through 503A compounding pharmacies is prohibited.
